Dr. Makeba Williams is a board-certified OB/GYN and a nationally recognized expert in midlife and menopause care. She’s passionate about helping women navigate the menopause transition with confidence, clarity, and evidence-based support.
Makeba earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and went on to complete her medical degree at Meharry Medical College. She currently serves on the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust and is a Certified Menopause Practitioner through The Menopause Society.
Known for her leadership in women’s health, she’s developed innovative programs to educate the next generation of physicians and has received multiple national awards for teaching and mentorship. Her honors include the ACOG Mentor Award and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Teaching Award, among others.
She also serves on the boards of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, and The Menopause Society.
